I+R team highlights #Innovation Ecosystem at the #RHShowcase

On Friday, April 21, the IT Innovation + Research (I+R) team (Eric Kunnen, Hunter Bridwell, Jacob Fortman, Ty Rizer) collaborated with colleagues (Jonathan Engelsma from the Applied Computing Institute, Julie Goldstein and Suzanne Zack from Visual and Media Arts, and Robert Talbert a Presidential Fellow for the Advancement of Learning and Professor of Mathematics) showcasing their stellar work in partnering to pioneer the future at the Reach Higher Showcase event held at Grand Valley State University.

The excitement was also captured by WOOD TV8 in this segment, which featured 2 initiatives announced by President Mantella (“Grand Path” and “Laker Learning Futures”):

During the event, which featured over 300 presenters and 130 posters, the I+R team shared 3 posters, telling our stories of how we connect to the GVSU Reach Higher Strategic Plan. Here are our posters that feature the IT Innovation and Research “innovation ecosystem”, the Atomic Object Technology Showcase, X>STUDIO, and STING (Student Technology and INnovation Guild) initiative led by Hunter Bridwell, Emerging Technologies Coordinator, and research being facilitated by Jacob Fortman, Emerging Technology Research Analyst:
